Janine R. Wieczorek (nee Szkudlabski), 91, of Brookfield, died on Nov. 26, 2018 in Oakhurst, California. 

Born on June 21, 1927 in Noyelles-Sous-Lens (Pas-De-Calais) in France, she was a retired international translator for the International College of Surgeons who enjoyed swimming, tennis, puzzles, gardening, sewing, and reading. 

Ms. Wieczorek was the wife of the late Boleslaw; the mother of Robert (Kathy) and Edward (Patricia); the grandmother of Corey (Rowann), Danielle (Brian) Bower, Robert, Jaclyn (Casey) Ziegert; the great-grandmother of Jenna, Morgan, Taylor, Keegan, Konner, Kaden and Kaia; the godmother and aunt of Georges (Angela) Moczalla; and the aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews; and a friend to many. 

Visitation is on Friday, Dec. 7 from 3 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, Dec. 8 at 10 a.m. until the time of a chapel service at 11 a.m., at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 Desplaines Ave. in North Riverside. Cremation and Inurnment will be private. 

Johnson-Nosek Funeral Home, Brookfield, handled arrangements.
