The new Lions were given their oath of service by Lions Past District Governor Steve Anton.

As a sponsor of many of the new Lions, Chuck Hitzeman a fifth-generation Lion himself said, "It was a very exciting day. I'm glad these eleven candidates accepted the honor of becoming a Lion and took the oath of 'We Serve.' I'm looking forward to seeing the lifelong bonds and friendships mature that I have seen my father and grandfather have with their fellow Lions."

The Brookfield-LaGrange Park Lions Club meets the second and fourth Wednesdays at 7 p.m. at Ryan's Pub in Brookfield.
