The Riverside-Brookfield girls water polo team capped off last week with a 10-8 overtime victory over Richards to win the Independent Conference Meet.

Caitlin Parisi sparkled in goal with 35 blocks and 17 steals, while Ally Shumowsky and Emma Veon led RB in scoring with five goals apiece. The Bulldogs outscored their opponents - Maria, Argo and Richards - by a combined margin of 39-11 as 24 different RB girls scored during the three victories. For the week, Parisi finished with 50 blocks and 26 steals for the Lady Bulldogs, who also defeated Northside Prep 9-7. RB is on a season-best four match winning streak.

After a rocky 1-8 start, the Bulldogs have shown considerable improvement under coach Joel Wallace with an 8-16 record overall.
