LT tennis finishes second in sectional action

The host Lions finished runner-up with 26 points to Hinsdale Central (36 points) in sectional action over the weekend. In singles, the Lions' Jake Eliott defeated teammate Alex Ross 6-1, 4-6, 7-6 (7) in a scintillating match for third place. LT earned similar results in doubles as Connor Wasz-Jack Wennerstrum rallied to defeat fellow Lions Connor Burke-Chris O'Reilly 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 in the third-place match.
