Champs Swim Club sent several swimmers to the State Age Group Championships held March 18, 19, and 20.
Graham Risley, 13, of Riverside, finished the short course season with six best times, placing in the finals five times. Risley qualified for 12 individual swim events and narrowed it down to the allowed six events–finishing as one of the state’s top swimmers in his age group in the following events: 500 freestyle (5.04.59), 100 freestyle (:51.33), 100 backstroke (:58.92), 200 backstroke (2.05.09), 100 butterfly (:55.42), and 200 IM (2.06.19).
