Margaret E. Barnick McGill, 65, Retired sales associate
Margaret E. Barnick McGill, a longtime resident of Brookfield and LaGrange Park, died July 12, 2005 at Hinsdale Hospital at the age of 65.

Mrs. Barnick McGill lived in Brookfield for 38 years until she moved to LaGrange Park in 2001. She worked as a sales associate at the Jewel Food Store in Countryside for 17 years before retiring this past January. Outside of work, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Barnick McGill is survived by her sons, Richard and Gary (Tanya) Barnick; her daughters, Mary (Aris) Vasiliadis, Margaret, Susan, Bernice, and Darlene Barnick; her cousin, Donald Huhnke; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son, Dale Barnick.

A memorial service will be held July 21 at St. Michael Lutheran Church, LaGrange Park.

Catherine B. France, 96, Assembly line worker
Catherine B. France (nee Fencl) of Brookfield died in her home on July 15, 2005 at the age of 96.

Mrs. France was born on Jan. 16, 1909 in Chicago to Frank and Mary Fencl. She later married George P. France and worked as an assembly line worker for a manufacturing company.

Mrs. France is survived by her sister, Helen (Irvin) Cutler; her son-in-law, Richard Schmidt; and her two grandchildren, Daniel and Keary Schmidt. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her daughter, Georgette Schmidt.

A funeral Mass was celebrated July 18 at New Apostolic Church, followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park.

Beverly A. Olson, 68, Administrative assistant
Beverly A. Olson of North Riverside died July 10, 2005 at the age of 68.

Mrs. Olson worked as an administrative assistant for Sears until her retirement, and was also a member of the Third Order of Carmelites. She is survived by her nephews, Brian (Jan) and Craig (Sarah) Gorman, and was preceded in death by her mother, Emma.

A funeral Mass was celebrated July 13 at Mater Christi Church, North Riverside, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.

Memorial contributions are appreciated to the Third Order of Carmelites, Darien, or the National Kidney Foundation.
