Two men, one of whom was carrying a gun in his pocket, robbed a 20-year-old Naperville man and a 19-year-old Montgomery man while they were washing a car at the Brookfield Car Wash, 9545 Ogden Ave. around 5:30 a.m. on Sept. 30.
According to police, the two victims had driven to the car wash at the corner of Ogden and Eberly avenues and parked their car in the third bay south of Ogden. The passenger exited the car when a man walked into the bay and asked what time it was. The victim told police he noticed a steel/silver gun in man’s right pocket.
The offender pushed the victim into the driver’s side door and began searching his pockets. Meanwhile, a second offender opened the passenger side door and entered the vehicle, asking the driver if he had any money. The driver said that he remembered the man asking, “Should I shoot him?” to his partner before the second offender threw a bottle of clutch fluid at the driver, hitting him in the forehead.
The offenders took both men’s wallets, which included $153 in cash, debit cards and ID; a cell phone from the driver of the car; and a car key.
Both offenders were last seen headed southbound, but police could not locate any suspects after a search of the area.
