Hugo P. Chott, 87, Dentist, Korean War vet
Hugo Paul Chott, DDS, Riverside resident and former resident of Cicero, died Oct. 25, 2005 at his home. He was 87.

Mr. Chott grew up in Cicero, graduating from Goodwin School, Morton High School and Morton Junior College before attending the Chicago College of Dentistry (now Loyola University School of Dentistry).

He was a captain in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and afterward worked as a dentist for many years in Berwyn. He was also the township dentist for Stickney Township.

In addition, Mr. Chott was a member of the Riverside Township Lions Club, the American Dental Association and the West Suburban Branch of the Chicago Dental Society. His hobbies included fishing and woodworking.

Mr. Chott is survived by his wife of 53 years, Genevieve Chott (nee Olejnik); his children, Patricia (David) Nelson and Karen (the late Robert, DDS) Rowe; his grandsons, Kevin Rowe and Christopher (Misty) Rowe; and his great grandson, Robert Rowe. He was preceded in death by his brother, George (the late Audrey) Chott, DDS.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 29 at St. Mary Church in Riverside. Memorial contributions were appreciated to the St. Mary Building Fund, 126 Herrick Road, Riverside, Ill. 60546.

Stanley F. Cieslak, Jr., 65, Salesman for metals distributor
Stanley F. Cieslak Jr., 65, a Brookfield resident, died Oct. 26, 2005 at Foster G. McGaw Hospital on the campus of Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.

Mr. Cieslak was born in Chicago on Aug. 17, 1940 to Stanley Cieslak Sr. and Josephine Cieslak. He served in the United States Army and was employed as a salesman at Ryerson Tull, a metals distributor in Chicago.

Mr. Cieslak is survived by his wife, Sharon Cieslak of Brookfield; his son, Scott Stanley Cieslak; his daughters, Lisa (Gary) Lubic and Dr. Kristine (significant other Dr. Jorge Cavero) Cieslak; his grandchildren, Camille, Adam and Christopher; his sister, Patricia (Gene) Wozniak; his uncle, John Trojak; his aunt, Charlotte Palubicki; and his nephew, Craig Wozniak.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Louise de Marillac Church in LaGrange Park, followed by interment in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.

Jarmila A. Vostal, 73, North Riverside homemaker
Jarmila A. Vostal (nee Kressel), 73, a resident of North Riverside who formerly lived in Lyons, died Oct. 27, 2005 at LaGrange Memorial Hospital.

Born on Jan. 22, 1932 to James and Anna (nee Hladek) Kressel in Chicago, she married Milo Vostal and raised two children. A member of CSA Fraternal Life for over 50 years, Ms. Vostal was also a longtime delegate to the Bohemian National Cemetery. She also enjoyed fishing, bowling and gardening.

Ms. Vostal was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. She is survived by her daughters, Cindy (the late Tom) Bueneman and Sandy (Tadd) Gasaway; four grandchildren, T.J. “Tom” Bueneman, Carrie Bueneman, Travis Gasaway and Tyler Gasaway; her brother, James (Virginia) Kressel; her sisters-in-law, Marsha Vostal and Millie Prinder; and many devoted friends.

A funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Roland Bizer, was held Oct. 31 at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Brookfield, followed by interment in Bohemian National Cemetery, Chicago.

Memorial contributions were appreciated to a favorite charity.
