Ann M. Anderson, 44, Loved theater, music
Ann M. Anderson (nee Havrlant), 44, a resident of Brookfield who was active in a variety of local theater and music organizations, died May 5, 2006 at her home.

A native of Cicero, Ms. Anderson attended Lincoln Elementary School in that town and graduated from Immaculate Heart of Mary High School in Westchester in 1979.

On April 11, 1981, she married Robert P. Anderson at our Lady of Charity Church in Cicero and the couple moved to Brookfield.

From 1981-84, Ms. Anderson worked as an administrative assistant in the Chicago White Sox Marketing Department.

Her love of theater and music, however, drew her to a number of local groups, where she was very active. She was a board member of the North Riverside Recreation Community Theater and was also part of the Riverside Township Radio Players ensemble.

In addition, she loved playing the piano and was a member of the Vocal Ensemble of Divine Providence Church (Westchester), the St. Pius X Church (Stickney) Choir, the West Suburban Sweet Adelines and the Y.E. Carolers.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; her daughters, Jennifer and Carolyn Anderson; her mother, Barbara Havrlant; and her sisters, Barbara Reincke and Elizabeth Anderson. She was preceded in death by her father, Vladimir Havrlant.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 10 at 10 a.m. at Divine Providence Church, 2550 S. Mayfair Ave., Westchester. Burial is private.

Virgina A. Kramer, 83, Secretary
Virginia A. Kramer (nee Kosowski), 83, a Brookfield resident, died May 5, 2006 at the Pinnacle of LaGrange Park.

Born in Chicago on Nov. 17, 1922 to Joseph A. and Ann Kosowski, she married Fred C. Kramer and worked as a secretary prior to her retirement.

Mr. Kramer preceded his wife in death. Ms. Kramer is survived by her sister-in-law, Loretta Kosowski.

A funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Roland Bizer, was held May 6 at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Brookfield, followed by interment at Forest Home Cemetery, Forest Park.

Memorial contributions were appreciated to a favorite charity.

Eleanor A. Lansdon, 85, Retired Jewel employee
Riverside resident Eleanor A. Lansdon (nee Soltis), 85, died May 4, 2006 at LaGrange Memorial Hospital.

Prior to her retirement, Ms. Lansdon was a cashier at the Jewel food store in North Riverside. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Lansdon, and by her brother, Michael Soltis.

Ms. Lansdon is survived by her children, Rita (Donn) McKenzie, Barbara (Frank) Volpe, Elly Lansdon and Arthur (Theresa) Lansdon; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and her siblings, Anna Kircik, Lorraine (Robert) Ladtkow, Mary, Helen, Andrew, Joan, John, Daniel and Dorothy.

A funeral Mass was celebrated May 9 at St. Mary Church in Riverside, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice.

Louise G. Sommerman, 80, Accountant
Louise G. Sommerman, a resident of Brookfield for over 50 years, died May 1, 2006 at her home. She was 80 years old.

Married to Walter Sommerman on May 24, 1947 at St. Agatha Church in Chicago, Ms. Sommerman moved to Brookfield with her family in 1953. For over 30 years, she worked as an accountant at several offices in the area, retiring in 1991. She also enjoyed gardening.

Ms. Sommerman is survived by her husband, Walter Sommerman; her daughters, Kathryn Martini and Cynthia Sommerman; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Brandon and Mandi Martini; and her sister, Frances Kloepfer.

A funeral Mass was celebrated May 4 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

Lois A. Williams, 87, Hairstylist
Lois A. Williams, 87, a lifelong resident of Brookfield, died May 3, 2006 at her home.

Ms. Williams grew up in south Brookfield, attending Congress Park School, Lyons Township High School and LT Junior College.

On Nov. 13, 1937, she married Elton E. Williams in Valparaiso, Ind. and the couple raised four children. For some 20 years, Ms. Williams was self-employed as a hairstylist and was semi-retired at the time of her death. She was an avid sports enthusiast who relished her position as the “neighborhood mom.”

She is survived by her husband, Elton E. Williams; her son, Richard (Rosa M.) Williams; her daughters, Gayle L. (Norman) Rullo, Janet L. (Donald) Barici and Judith L. Jeffries; her sister Fern Everett; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
