Rex W. Eineman, 71

Purchasing manager

Rex W. Eineman, a resident of Brookfield for 29 years, died June 2, 2006 at his home. He was 71.

Mr. Eineman was born in Athens, Ohio on Jan. 31, 1935 to Otto and Helen (nee Lam-
born) Eineman. He spent 10 years in the United States Air Force and was later employed as a purchasing manager for companies in the California and the Midwest. He spent many years with Superior Bank at their corporate office and three years with Homeland Security Administration in Chicago and Columbus, Ohio.

Mr. Eineman is survived by his wife of 29 years, H. Jeane Eineman (nee Behne) of Brookfield; his son, Larry (Nancy) Eineman; his daughter, Carol; and his grandchildren, Matthew and Rachael. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his grandchild, Louisa.

Funeral services were private, followed by interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Ill.

Robert K. Jackson, 90

Retired GE sales manager

Lifelong Riverside resident Robert Kenneth Jackson, 90, died June 19, 2006 at Manor Care of Westmont.

For 45 years, Mr. Jackson worked for the General Electric Co., including many years as sales manager in the company’s commercial restaurant sales division. He sold the restaurant equipment to Ray Kroc for the first of Kroc’s McDonald’s franchises, and sold many more to other franchises during McDonald’s expansion. Later, he was instrumental in selling equipment to the Wendy’s Corporation.

He was also active in Riverside as a member of the Riverside Township Lions Club and served as a deacon and trustee at Riverside Presbyterian Church. He also enjoyed boating and entertaining guests at the family’s home in Delavan, Wis. He loved spending time with his family.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife of 65 years, Etheleen Jackson; his sons, Kenneth (Bonnie) Jackson and Chip (Linda) Jackson; his grandchildren, Lynne (David) Forder, Gregg Jackson, Amy Jackson and Rob Jackson; and his great grandchildren, Harrison Forder, Jack Forder and Beth Forder.

A funeral service was held June 24 at Riverside Presbyterian Church, followed by interment at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Stickney.

Rena R. Kuizinas, 87

Riverside homemaker

Rena R. Kuizinas, a resident of Riverside and a former longtime resident of Cicero, died June 19, 2006 at the British Home in Brookfield at the age of 87.

A homemaker, Ms. Kuizinas loved cooking, sewing and was an avid Chicago White Sox fan. She also loved watching the TV show “Jeopardy” and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition, she was a member of the Riverside Golden Agers.

Ms. Kuizinas was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Kuizinas, in 2002, and her sister, Jennie Pilli. She is survived by her son, Ben (Carole) Bartolini, and her daughter, Donna (David) Baar.

A funeral Mass was celebrated June 22 at St. Mary Church in Riverside, followed by entombment at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum in Hillside.

Dorothy R. Loehman, 79

Brookfield homemaker

Brookfield resident and former Broadview resident Dorothy Ruth Loehman (nee Holubik), 79, died June 18, 2006 at the British Home in Brookfield.

Born in Chicago on Aug. 9, 1926 to Charles and Myrtle Holubik, she married Fred H. Loehman and raised one child. Ms. Loehman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Robert (Lillian) Holubik; and her sister, Marilyn Holubik.

She is survived by her son, William (Susan) Loehman; her brothers, Charles (the late Dolores) Holubik and Richard Holubik; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Martin W. Pauschke, was held June 22 at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Brookfield, followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park.

Gloria A. Paolinelli, 59

Healthcare technician

Longtime Brookfield resident Gloria A. Paolinelli, 59, died June 19, 2006 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

Ms. Paolinelli moved to Brookfield in 1970, just prior to her Sept. 11, 1971 marriage to Vittorio Paolinelli in Chicago. The couple raised four children. For over 20 years, she was employed as a healthcare technician at the Plymouth Place retirement community in LaGrange Park. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and collecting lighthouses and angels.

Ms. Paolinelli is survived by her husband; her sons, Donald (Mary) Lorenzini, Joseph (Jeannine) Paolinelli and Giovanni Paolinelli; her daughter, Donna (Jason) Rohde; her mother, Adriana Lorenzini; her brother, John Bartolomej; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A funeral Mass was celebrated June 23 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by entombment at Christ the King Mausoleum at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

Memorial contributions were appreciated to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospitals in Memphis, Tenn.

Walter A. Roman, 70


Walter A. Roman, a resident of Brookfield, died June 23, 2006 at LaGrange memorial Hospital at the age of 70.

Mr. Roman was born in Oak Park on June 11, 1936 to Adolph and Marie Roman. He worked as an accountant.

He is survived by his wife, Bette Roman; his son, David (Cindy Ann) Roman; his daughters, Debra (Steven) Wieland and Cindy Roman; his brother, Edmond (Janet) Roman; and three grand children.

A funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Greg Ogden, was held June 27 at Christ Church of Oakbrook. Interment was private.
