Dorothy Hoeft, 93, Bookkeeper
North Riverside resident Dorothy Hoeft (nee Braatz), 93, died June 26, 2006 at the Scottish Home in North Riverside.
A former Oak Park resident, Ms. Hoeft was born on Dec. 18, 1912 in Chicago to Otto and Dorthea (nee Hilmer) Braatz. She married Werner Hoeft, who preceded his wife in death. She worked as a bookkeeper.
Ms. Hoeft is survived by her nephew, David Braatz of Crown Point, Ind., and her niece, Rhonda Braatz.
A funeral service, officiated by the Rev. Joseph Ledwell, was held June 28 at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Brookfield, followed by interment at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Hillside.
Peter C. Tenuto, 82, Plant manager
Brookfield resident Peter C. Tenuto, 82, died June 28, 2006 at LaGrange Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 4, 1924 in Chicago to James and Mary (nee Padula) Tenuto, Mr. Tenuto served in the U.S. Marines during World War II and was later employed as a plant manager for a cold storage facility.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances Tenuto; and his sister, Rachel Tenuto. He is survived by his sons, Jim Tenuto and Jerrold (Mary) Tenuto; his grandchildren, Christie, Jimmy, Nick and Peter; his great granddaughter, Kaitlyn; his brother, Vincent (Josephine) Tenuto; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated July 3 at St. Louise de Marillac Church in LaGrange Park, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.

Edward Kestley, 78, Grocery store owner
Edward Kestley, 78, a Brookfield resident, died June 28, 2006 at his home.
Mr. Kestley was born on June 2, 1928 in Chicago to Charles and Anna Kestley. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and later owned a grocery store.
He is survived by his sister, Irene (the late Robert) Cast of LaGrange Park; his niece, Corinne McCorkle; his nephews, Thomas Cast and Michael Cast; and his great nephews, Alex McCorkle, Christopher McCorkle and Michael Cast.
A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Dennis Lauritsen, was held July 3 at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Brookfield. Interment was private.
Rudolph J. Peters, 87, Commercial photographer
Rudolph J. Peters, 87, a resident of North Riverside, died June 28, 2006 at Hines V.A. Hospital in Maywood.
A retired commercial photographer, Mr. Rudolph was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the North Riverside Just-In-Between Club.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie Peters; his sons, Richard (Roberta) Peters and Carl (Sharon) Peters; and three grandchildren, Michelle Peters, Leslie (Charles) Jensen and Scott Peters.
A funeral Mass was celebrated July 1 at Mater Christi Church, North Riverside, followed by entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park.
