On July 16, Eileen and Donald Zirzow, residents of Brookfield for the past 60 years, will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
Donald Zirzow, 82, was raised in Berwyn. Eileen Zirzow, 82, was born and raised in Brookfield. Her father, the Rev. Oscar Rockhoff, was pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Brookfield for 35 years. Rev. Rockhoff presided at the couple’s wedding at St. Paul’s, and Mr. Zirzow’s uncle, the Rev. Harold Hitzeman, delivered the homily.
The Zirzows are the parents of two children. Randy Zirzow resides in Naperville with his wife, Sherrie, and their daughter, Michelle. The Zirzows’ daughter, Lori Ostick, lives in Countryside with her husband Wesley. Lori has two stepchildren.
The couple will celebrate the occasion quietly with family, but is planning a short trip this fall.
