Brookfield resident James Chester McKiernan Jr., 54, died Sept. 4, 2009 at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke Medical Center in Chicago.
Born in Dayton, Ohio, on Nov. 16, 1954 to Marie Ann (nee Gee) and James C. McKiernan Sr., Mr. McKiernan married Lori L. Rosenwinkel and the couple settled in the Hollywood section of Brookfield, raising three sons. Mr. McKiernan was employed as an engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Lori L. McKiernan; his sons, Jonathan McKiernan, Matthew McKiernan and Gillian McKiernan; his grandchildren, Gwyneth McKiernan and Jared McKiernan; his parents; and his siblings, Mike (Lori) McKiernan, Kay (George) Mooney and John (Nancy) McKiernan.
A funeral service was held Sept. 7 at Hitzeman Funeral Home in Brookfield, followed by interment at Oakridge Cemetery in Hillside. A memorial service was held on Sept. 12 at Spinning Road Baptist Church in Riverside, Ohio.
