Herbert B. Voss, 78, Retired salesman
Herbert Bellis Voss, 78, of Riverside, died Nov. 26, 2009.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Voss was a salesman prior to retirement. He was born on Nov. 19, 1931.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Voss (nee Crawford); his sons, Richard S. (Diane) Voss and Thomas J. (Mary) Voss; and his grandchildren, Jeffrey Voss and Caroline Voss. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Matthew Voss, and his siblings, Mary Durkee and Thomas Voss.
A memorial service with military honors was held Dec. 2 at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 Desplaines Ave. in North Riverside.

Lisa R. Klein, 50, Brookfield crossing guard
Brookfield resident Lisa R. Klein (nee Galasso), 50, died Nov. 26, 2009.
Born on June 15, 1959 to Frank and Felicia Galasso, she married William Klein and raised one daughter. Ms. Klein was a customer service representative for Phillip’s Flowers. Since 2006, Ms. Klein worked as a crossing guard for the village of Brookfield, helping school children navigate the railroad crossing at Prairie Avenue.
She is survived by her husband; her daughter, Danielle; her siblings, Anna Marie Sebastiano, Theresa (Martin) Campo, Linda (David) Schneck, Bernadette (Joe) Skinner and Frank (Carol) Galasso; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 1 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Hillside.
Memorial contributions were appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
