North Riverside resident Giacomino Marsico, 83, died Aug. 2, 2010 at Foster G. McGaw Hospital on the campus of Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
Mr. Marsico was born on Nov. 14, 1926 to Ludovico and Rosina (nee Barbuscio) Marsico.
He worked in the construction business and is survived by his wife, Amelia Marsico (nee Preite). He is also survived by his daughters, Fernanda Filippelli, of Westchester, and Loredana (Giuseppe) Scarcia; his son-in-law, Joseph Filippelli, of North Riverside; and two grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on Aug. 5 at Mater Christi Church in North Riverside, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
Memorial contributions were appreciated to Shriners Hospital for Children, 221 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, Ill. 60707.
