I was shocked that you would print Mr. Jim Zak’s idiotic rantings against the Catholic Church (“Church needs to get back to basics,” Letters, Sept. 22) -typical prejudicial statements.
Just to touch on one falsehood -the “higher-ups” do nothing for the poor – how about the BEDS program for the homeless, Catholic Relief, Catholic Charities, Mercy Home for Boys and Girls? I could go on and on.
I am deeply offended by your letter, Mr. Zak, but I will say a prayer for you.
