Early voting for the Nov. 2 general election started Tuesday and will continue through Oct. 28 at more than 40 suburban early voting polling places, including several near the Landmark coverage area.
All of the early voting sites are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays. A few locations are open on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For a full listing of early voting sites, visit the Cook County Clerk website at www.cookcountyclerk.com.
All early voters must display identification prior to voting. Valid IDs include a driver’s license, state ID or other government-issued ID with a photo.
According to a press release issued by the clerk, the final days of early voting are the heaviest. Nearly half of all early votes cast in the February primary election were cast in the last four days of the early voting period.
