Ross M. Howard Sr., 85, of Brookfield, died Oct. 13, 2010, at LaGrange Memorial Hospital.
Born in Lebanon, Ind., to Julian and Essie (nee Stevens) Howard on June 18, 1925, Mr. Howard served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was married to Joan D. Howard (nee Erlhoff), who preceded her husband in death. Mr. Howard worked as a grinding specialist for a manufacturing company prior to retirement.
Mr. Howard is survived by his children, Mary F. (John) Kiser Sr., Ross M. Howard Jr., of Brookfield, and Gregory (Tami L.) Howard; his grandchildren, John W. Kiser Jr., Diana L. Doyle, Michael R. Howard and Matthew R. Howard; and his great grandchildren, William Doyle and Logan Doyle.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 16 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
