Riverside resident George T. Kourim, 90, died Dec. 25, 2010.
He was born on March 7, 1920, and served in the U.S. Army as a corporal during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of American Sokol of Sokol Spirit in Brookfield and CSA Fraternal Life. He also enjoyed playing cards and calling Bingo games.
Mr. Kourim is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Kourim (nee Dusatko); his children, Thomas (Therese) Kourim, Cynthia (Edwin) Schuette, Christopher (Lisa) Kourim and Peter (Jane) Kourim; his grandchildren, David, Seth, Sarah and Lauren; and his step grandchildren, Lynn and Marilyn; his step great grandchildren, Sarah, Lea and Douglas J. He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank D. Kourim.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Dec. 29, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Ivins/Moravecek Funeral Home, 80 E. Burlington St., Riverside. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30, at St. Mary Church, 126 Herrick Road, Riverside, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
