Marcia E. Smith, 76, of Western Springs, died Jan. 10, 2011.
She was born in Chicago on Dec. 24, 1934, to Niels G. and Margaret J. Olsson and later married Kenneth A. Smith, who survives his wife.
Ms. Smith is also survived by her son, Eric (Mari) Smith, of Brookfield; her daughter, Karen Delegan; her grandchildren, David Smith, Nathan Smith, Kerstin Rieg and Annika Delegan; and her brother, Russell (Mary) Olsson. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Linda and Susan Smith.
Funeral services have been held. Memorials are appreciated to Lutheran Social Services of Illinois, 1001 E. Touhy Ave., Suite 187, Des Plaines, Ill. 60018.
