Lifelong Brookfield resident Ray Allen Giacomelli, 48, died Dec. 20, 2010 at his home.
Mr. Giacomelli graduated from S.E. Gross School in 1976 and from Riverside-Brookfield High School in 1980. For more than 16 years he worked for the HollyMatic Company in Countryside as a forklift operator. An avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, Mr. Giacomelli also enjoyed fishing and bowling.
He is survived by his sons, Tim (Kari) Giacomelli and Michael Giacomelli; his daughter, Rebecca Giacomelli; his grandchildren, Daniel Solis and Tim Giacomelli Jr.; his parents, Raymond (Carol) Giacomelli and Sharon (John) Neumann; his brothers, David (Melissa) Giacomelli and Robert (Liz) Giacomelli; and his longtime companion, Pamela Dubonetti.
Funeral services have been held. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
