Raymond E. “Deed” Diedrichsen, 85, of Brookfield, died Feb. 1, 2011.
Mr. Diedrichsen was born in LaGrange on Oct. 28, 1925, to Raymond and Florence Diedrichsen. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and worked as an electrician prior to retirement.
Mr. Diedrichsen was a life member of the North Riverside VFW Post #6869 and a member of the Berwyn Moose Lodge #424.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Diedrichsen, and his sister, Dorothy (Gene) Lambert. He is survived by his children, Scott (Kim) Vitek, George Straka and Barbara (Don) Zahrobsky; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Feb. 7 at Hitzeman Funeral Home in Brookfield, followed by interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
