I personally want to publicly thank our Riverside Public Works Department for an excellent job clearing our streets in a timely fashion. Having worked for the village of Hinsdale for almost 30 years, I know what a thankless job our guys do every day.
I know all the complaints, especially “Why did you not plow my driveway?” I know this is what it is, and we all have to deal with it. It’s not a problem for me, and I can deal with it.
Once again, thanks to our dedicated Public Works Department for a job well done. I wish I could afford to buy them pizza for lunch, but I just got my tax bill. Maybe our illustrious school boards could spend some of my tax dollars in appreciation for keeping our streets clear and safe for our students, only to have a snow day or two.
