Gerald A. “Jerry” Jiracek, 69, of Brookfield, formerly of Berwyn, died on April 28, 2011 at Hines Veterans Hospital. Born on Sept. 10, 1941 in Chicago, he was a retired machinist at Phillip’s Grinding in Franklin Park.

Jerry Jiracek is survived by his wife, Fran (nee Cozzie); his children, Thomas (Lynn) Keller, Mary (Geoff) Brooks, and Paul (Kate) Keller; his grandchildren, Jeremy, Josh, Thomas, Amber Lynn, Sally Rue, Josa, Johnny, Levi, Julieanne, and Jenna Marie; his brother, Richard (Marlene) Jiracek; his nieces, Virginia Rodrigues and Pat (Kevin) Zipsie; his great-nephews and great-niece, Max, Sam, Maya and Claire; and his beloved dog, Foster.

Visitation will take place on May 6 from 3 to 9 p.m. with Chapel Service on May 7 at 9 a.m. at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 S. Desplaines Ave. in North Riverside. Private family entombment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, Chapel of Eternal Light in Forest Park.
