Amelia Marsico (nee Gallo), 79, of North Riverside, died April 30, 2011 at ManorCare Health Services in Westmont.
Born in Italy on Sept. 16, 1931 to Nicola and Giovanna Gallo, she married Giacomino Marsico, who preceded his wife in death. She worked as a coil winder for a manufacturing company prior to retirement.
Ms. Marsico is survived by her daughters, Fernanda (Joseph) Filippelli and Loredana (Giuseppe) Scarcia, and her grandchildren, Jennifer Scarcia and Andrea Filippelli.
A funeral Mass was celebrated May 3 at Mater Christi Church in North Riverside, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Hitzeman Funeral Home, Brookfield, handled arrangements.
