All Riverside residents are invited to attend the Parks and Recreation Department open house at the water tower this coming Sunday, May 22.
Stop by anytime between 1 and 4 p.m. to watch and participate in some of the classes the Parks and Recreation Department offers. There will be demonstrations in tap and ballet (youth), tae kwon do, yoga, cardio kickboxing, chess and Zumba.
Parks and recreation will also be holding early registration that day. If one of the demonstration classes or any of the classes listed in the brochure look interesting, you’ll be able to sign up and beat the rush.
In addition to the demonstrations, there will be a bounce house and arts and crafts.
Stop by and meet parks and recreation’s new commissioners. We will be wearing red shirts and are interested to hear your ideas about programming and the department.
Experience a part of what makes Riverside an extraordinary community. We hope to see you this Sunday.
Susan Casey is chairwoman of the Riverside Parks and Recreation Commission.
