Longtime Riverside resident Raymond J. Benes, 88, died May 4, 2011.

Mr. Benes was born Sept. 17, 1922 and grew up in Cicero. He met his future wife, Dolores Kiedrowski, at a drugstore on Chicago’s Southwest Side, where he worked as a soda jerk.
