The Riverside Farmers Market kicks off its 2011 season on Wednesday, June 29, offering locally grown fruit and vegetables, pizza baked on-site in a wood-fired oven, eggs, chicken, turkey, pork and more.
The market is held from 2:30 to 7 p.m. on Riverside Road in the parking lot between the Riverside Township Hall and the Riverside Public Library. For more information visit the village of Riverside’s website at www.riverside.il.us.
And for those who can’t hit the midweek market in Riverside, you can head west for the Brookfield Farmers Market, held each Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of the village hall, 8820 Brookfield Ave.
