The volunteer committee for Riverside Farmers Market thanks the residents of Riverside, the Landmark and the village staff, especially Cathy Haley, for helping us to launch the third annual market.
At its debut on June 29, gorgeous weather and eager residents and visitors combined to make a success of our new location between the Township Hall and Riverside Public Library. The vendors – whose stalls featured fruit, produce, meat, eggs, baked goods, pizza, and sweets from Aunt Diana’s – reported excellent sales and satisfaction with the new site. New vendors were delighted by the welcome they received in Riverside, and returning vendors were pleased to see regular and new customers.
With support from local businesses and community organizations, we are confident that the market is both a boost to the community and evidence of Riverside’s commercial potential. As the season progresses, more vendors are scheduled to attend and the range of products will increase.
