The Riverside Historical Museum’s two buildings in Centennial Park in downtown Riverside will be open longer on Saturdays during the month of July to accommodate visitors taking the shuttle bus in from the South Gate of Brookfield Zoo.

In July, the museum will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free. The Brookfield Zoo shuttles to Riverside and Brookfield will begin ferrying people to and from Brookfield Zoo every Saturday and Sunday in July.

The shuttle drop-off/pickup location in Riverside will be at 32 East Ave. next to Centennial Park in the village’s downtown. Riverside shuttles will depart from and return to the zoo every half hour.

In Brookfield, visitors will be dropped off and picked up at the pedestrian crosswalk in the 3700 block of Grand Boulevard and at the Hollywood-Zoo Metra stop at Hollywood and Brookfield avenues.

Brookfield shuttles will depart from and return to the zoo every hour, stopping first on Grand Boulevard, before heading to the Metra stop and then back to the zoo.
