Did you know that skin cancer is the most common type of cancer? More than 2 million people will suffer from skin cancer this year in the U.S.
You are invited to a free skin cancer screening on Wednesday, Aug. 17 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the North Riverside Village Commons, 2401 Desplaines Ave. Private skin cancer screenings will be conducted by Loyola University Medical Center dermatologists and dermatology residents.
Appointments are required. Please call Carmen Carrizales of the American Cancer Society at 708-484-8542. Call as soon a possible, because the number of screenings is limited. This event is sponsored by the American Cancer Society and the Riverside Township Lions Club.
