The Brookfield Kiwanis Club last week, presented a check for $2,500 to the Riverside-Brookfield High School Special Olympics program. The money was raised at the Fourth Annual Kiwanis Club Motorcycle Poker Run on July 10. The run, a major fundraiser for the club drew 124 riders on 97 motorcycles. The day started at Mick’s Southside. Owned by co-organizers Laurie and Mick Lathus, in Peotone and included four other stops along the way, including the final stop at Johnny B’s Bar and Grill in Brookfield.
