After being canceled this summer because of torrential rain, the Riverside Chamber of Commerce will hold its First Annual Golf Outing on Monday, Sept. 19 at the Riverside Golf Club, 2520 Desplaines Ave. in North Riverside.
The event begins with a check-in, complimentary range balls and lunch at 11 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The outing will include a variety of contests on the course, including a skins game, low individual and team score, beat the pro and an opportunity to win a Hyundai Sonata with a hole-in-one, sponsored by McGrath City Hyundai of Chicago.
After golf there will be a dinner buffet, cash bar, live music and dancing featuring R-Gang and a raffle featuring prizes such as an I Phone, free color half-page newspaper ads, dinners, free services and so much more. Non-golfers are welcome to attend the dinner beginning at 6 p.m.
Golf tickets ($150, dinner included) and dinner tickets ($40) are available for purchase from Scott Zimmer at The Chew Chew, 33 E. Burlington St. in Riverside (447-8781) through Friday, Sept. 16.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Riverside Chamber of Commerce and their mission of improving the Riverside Business District, specifically the new green parking lot on East Burlington Street.
