The North Riverside Players will stage is fall muscial beginning this weekend with their company’s production of the Tony Award-winning The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee.

The musical comedy, which follows the fortunes of six adolescent misfits competing in a spelling bee, captures the angst, exhilaration and heartaches of growing up. The New York Times has called Spelling Bee “irresistible, riotously funny and remarkably ingenious.” And, the musical comedy offers audience members a chance to join the fun by becoming on-stage spellers (strictly voluntary, of course).
