Raymond L. Gawelczyk, 82, Retired U.S. Postal Service employee

Raymond L. Gawelczyk, 82, a longtime resident of Brookfield, died Sept. 21, 2011 at his home.

Mr. Gawelczyk served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and moved to Brookfield in 1961. For 22 years he worked for the U.S. Postal Service at the Western Springs Post Office, retiring in 1984.

He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Mr. Gawelczyk was preceded in death by his parents, Josef and Mary (nee Rojek) Gawelczyk and his 15 siblings.
