Lillian M. Mika (nee Jara), 78, of Riverside, died Oct. 15, 2011 at LaGrange Memorial Hospital.
Born on March 22, 1933 in Chicago, she later married Jerry Mika, who survives his wife. A homemaker, Ms. Mika enjoyed ceramics, traveling, sweepstakes, plants, going on outings to baseball games, the Shriner’s Circus, Taste of Chicago and dinner theater. She was a member of the CSA and the Plants Club.
Ms. Mika also is survived by her children, Gerrie Mika, Rosemarie Ourada, Lilly Mika, Linda (the late Michael) Olmsted and Kathy (Tim) Quigley; and her grandchildren, Rachel, Diane, Matthew, Jennifer and Daniel.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. until the time of a chapel service at 1 p.m. at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 Desplaines Ave., North Riverside. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
