Longtime Brookfield resident Shirley A. Feeney, 85, died Oct. 11, 2011 at her home.
For 27 years, Ms. Feeney and her husband, Anthony M. Feeney, owned and ran Feeney’s Bar (formerly Tony’s Golden Keg) on Ogden Avenue in Brookfield. She was also a member of the St. Barbara Parish Council of Catholic Women and enjoyed traveling, family gatherings and games of chance.
Ms. Feeney was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony, in September of 1988.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Paul Frank) Feeney and Noreen (Michael) Plath; her sons, Thomas Feeney, William (Mary Katherine) Feeney, Anthony (Kimberly) Feeney and Daniel (Maribeth) Feeney; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her sister, Dorothy Kissane.
A funeral Mass was held Oct. 15 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
