Jerome Henry Veselsky, 63 of Riverside, formerly of Glen Ellyn and Cicero, died on Nov. 17 from heart failure at Loyola Medical Center.

Born on April 12, 1948 in Chicago, he spent 31 years working as a teamster and the last 20 years at Mohr Oil, a job and a company he truly loved. Although a very jovial and funny man, his life was not without complications, both personally and medically. But he was loved by many who remember him as “the life of the party.” Despite a leg amputation and stroke, for his last 10 months, he “Played like a Champion” and will truly be missed.

Mr. Veselsky is survived by his children, Gerald (Karen), Gary (Jennifer), Kevin (Dana), Christopher, Seth and Lindsey and his grandchildren, Emma, Jakob, Zachary, Amber, Stevie and Spencer.

Visitation took place on Nov. 21 and funeral services were held on Nov. 22 at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home in North Riverside. Funeral Mass was celebrated at Divine Providence Church on Nov. 22. Cremation was private.
