The Lions opened the season by winning three of four games at their Thanksgiving tournament. After splitting a pair of games with Queen of Peace (64-32 LT win) and Downers Grove South (37-19 LT loss), LT cruised to a pair of victories last week.
The Lions beat West Chicago 56-39 as Vicki Swift (14 points), Clare Polega (13 points) and Davis (11 points) led a balanced offensive attack. On Saturday, LT closed the tournament by edging Oak Forest 51-40. Colleen Connors paced the host Lions with a game-high 17 points.
