Raymond C. Salley (Salamowicz), 85, of Brookfield, died at Hinsdale Hospital on Nov. 26, 2011. He was a retired inspector and security guard at the Naval Ordnance Plant in Forest Park and at International Harvester. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II and was a member of the Cicero Moose Lodge. Mr. Salley enjoyed traveling, socializing, and doing home repairs.
Raymond Salley is survived by his wife, Mary (nee Zirko); his children, Karol Salley and Raymond (Monika) Salamowicz; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his children, Paul Salley and Katherine Muncy.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, Ltd., 3847 Prairie Avenue in Brookfield. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. at St. Barbara Church, 4008 Prairie Avenue in Brookfield, followed by entombment at Christ the King Mausoleum of Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
