Beverly Jo Fischer, 77, a longtime resident of Brookfield, died Dec. 2, 2011 at MacNeal Memorial Hospital in Berwyn.
Ms. Fischer lived in Brookfield since 1958. She was a registered nurse and worked for more than 35 years at MacNeal Hospital, retiring in 2002. She also enjoyed reading books, crocheting, cooking and traveling with her longtime companion, Bob Barcal, who survives Mr. Fischer.
She is survived by sons, Steve (Karen) Fischer, Dave (Kim) Fischer and Tom (Linda) Fischer; her grandchildren, Kelly (James) Greenberg, Steven Fischer, Katherine Fischer, Derrick Fischer, Renee Fischer, Gabriel Fischer and Becky Altenhof; her great-grandchildren, Benton Greenberg, Madeline Greenberg, Anderson Greenberg, Carrington Greenberg and Paisley Fischer; and her sister, Cheryl (Jerry) Warren.
A funeral service was held Dec. 6 at Johnson Funeral Home, Brookfield, followed by interment at River Hills memorial Park in Batavia.
