Theodore E. Micek, 88, of Brookfield, died Dec. 1, 2011 at LaGrange Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Micek was born in Chicago on Sept. 28, 1923 to Stanley and Stella Micek. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked after the war as a buyer for a food supply company.
He is survived by his wife, Verona Micek, of Brookfield; his children, Pamela (the late Raymond) Bottari and John (Maureen) Micek; his grandchildren, Joe Micek, Kimmy Greene, Jason Micek, Jonathan Bottari, Nick Micek and Maggie Micek; seven great-grandchildren; his sister, Charolette Pyter; and his brother, Stanley Micek. Mr. Micek was preceded in death by his parents and by his siblings, Joseph Micek and Lucille Manijak.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 5 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
