Miles B. Chvila, 99, of Brookfield, died Jan. 31, 2012.
Mr. Chvila was born in Moravia, which is now part of the Czech Republic, in 1912.
He was a longtime member of the Czech American Club and Camp Sokol. Mr. Chvila was also a board member of Tabor Hills and the Bohemian Home for the Aged.
Mr. Chvila was the husband of the late Mildred Voldrich; the father of the late Miles L. (Diane Hartman) Chvila Jr.; the grandfather of Lynda (Booth) Harned and Miles G. (Carol) Chvila; the uncle of Jeanne (Thomas) Solorsano, John (Sharon) Chvila and Kenneth (Sandra) Zasadil.
Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park.
Woodlawn Funeral Home, Forest Park, handled arrangements.
