Antoinette Lestina (nee Bohaty), 97, a longtime resident of North Riverside, died March 4, 2012 in Elmhurst.
Ms. Lestina was born in Chicago on May 22, 1914. She married Francis J. Lestina and the couple ran a grocery store in North Riverside until Mr. Lestina was killed while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces during World War II.
She was the mother of George (Peg) Lestina; the grandmother of Amanda Lestina, Kyle Lestina, Nicholas O’Brien and Ryan (Siobhan) Lestina; the great-grandmother of Conor, Mackenzie and Lucian; the sister of Lil Tyzenhaus; the sister-in-law of Viola (the late Robert) Their; and the aunt to many.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 10 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of a chapel service at 12:30 p.m. at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 Desplaines Ave. in North Riverside. Interment will be private.
