Mary Jane Horne (nee Graham), 90, of North Riverside, died March 2, 2012 at her home.
Born in Lexington, Ky., on Oct. 25, 1921, she married Arthur J. Horne and worked as the office manager at Divin and Associates in Riverside prior to retirement.
Ms. Horne was a founding member of the North Riverside Public Library and a past president and member of both the North Riverside Women’s Club and the Mater Christi Women’s Guild.
Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, and her daughter, Sue Horne-Camp, Ms. Horne is survived by her daughter, Pat (Dennis) McVeigh; her grandchildren, Erin Colleen (Jesse) Rey and Arthur John Horne; her great-grandchildren, Dominic Rey and Gia Rey; her sister, Elizabeth (the late Leland) Shipley; and her sister-in-law, Lorraine (the late Robert) Luther.
A funeral Mass was celebrated March 5 at Mater Christi Church in North Riverside, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
Memorial donations are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
