The March 28, 2012 edition of the Landmark states, “Tabares ran a quiet campaign” (“Tabares edges Lozano in 21st; Hernandez coasts in 24th,” News).

Not around our house. We have never had so many doorbells, phone calls and mailings from one candidate as we did from Ms. Tabares in this past Democratic primary. Even she called us once! I think that is a first for us.

(Mr. Lozano out did that phone call by actually visiting our house. So we got to speak one-on-one with both candidates.)

But unfortunately, in talking with her all I heard were bromides.

Quiet? No. I would have preferred fewer disturbances and more substance.
