The Komarek eighth grade boys basketball team continued the winning ways of the Class of 2012, finishing their season with an overall record of 24-4, the most single-season wins in Komarek basketball history.

The Class of 2012 has excelled in the Salt Creek Valley Conference, winning titles in all sports this year. The girls volleyball team went 8-2, the soccer team 10-0, the girls basketball team 10-0, and the boys basketball team 9-1, making this class one of the winningest in
school history.

Over the past two seasons, the boys basketball team is a combined 42-10. In addition to being co-champions in the SCVC with a 9-1 record, the boys also captured the Berwyn YMCA league title with a perfect 10-0 record. Also, the team finished second in the Berwyn YMCA St. Patrick’s tournament, where Mikey Berscheid, Dominic Sarro, and James Kaczmarczyk were selected to the All-Tournament Team.

The championship roster for this year’s team included Dimitri Sosolis, Berscheid, Sarro, Alex Martinson, Kenny Ngo, Kaczmarczyk, Maurice Guthrie, Zach Witken, Jacob Angio, and Daniel Rafael. The head coach is Chris Bedalow. Student managers were Jessica JnoBaptiste, Allie Kucera, and Areli Vargas.
