Nazareth dealt the host Bulldogs a 7-2 loss on Friday. The Roadrunners scored five unearned runs aided by four RB miscues defensively. Catcher Emily Hastings cranked a home run for RB.
In other action, the Bulldogs (13-6, 3-3 Metro Suburban Conference) split a pair of conference games against Elmwood Park. After losing a 3-1 decision to the Tigers, RB roared back with a convincing 15-6 win on Thursday. The Bulldogs, who collected 20 hits on the day, played power ball as Becky Mantel, Ashlee Haugh and Hasting all went yard against the Tigers. Senior pitcher Kylie O’Connell picked up her ninth win this season.
