High school students looking for a place of their own to study for final exams can go the Brookfield Public Library, 3609 Grand Blvd., next week. On Monday, May 21 and Tuesday, May 22 the library’s Storytime Room will be transformed into a quiet study center for teenagers.
Tables and chairs will be set up in the Storytime Room, and pizza and snacks will be provided for students. Library staff will be available to provide study resources.
The library is calling the event “The Final Countdown.”
“The Final Countdown is one of the Brookfield’s Public Library’s first programs to be offered exclusively for high school students,” said Librarian Louise Dimick in a press release announcing the program. “Our goal with the program is to better serve this age group by providing them a welcoming place to study during a stressful time.”
The Final Countdown study hours are from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on both days. Students must present a valid high school ID to enter the study room.
No registration is required.
