Curtis P. Willis, 78, owned acoustical engineering company

Curtis P. Willis, 78, a former longtime resident of Brookfield, died May 18, 2012 at his home in Camden, Tenn.

Mr. Willis lived in Brookfield from 1952 until 1995, when he moved to Sterling. In 2010, he moved to Camden.

While in Brookfield, Mr. Willis co-owned General Acoustical Engineering Company in the village, retiring after more than 30 years in 1994. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and golfing.

Mr. Willis was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Jane Willis (nee Plumley), on Oct. 20, 2010.

He is survived by his sons, Vance (Sylvia) Willis, Jim (Ruth) Willis and Jeff (Pam) Willis; six grandchildren; his brothers, Elmer Willis, Burt Willis and Kenneth Willis; and his sisters, Karen Blan, Odessa Lumnes and Shirley Christy.

A funeral service was held May 27 at Johnson Funeral Home, Brookfield, which handled arrangements.
